Stacy creates websites from scratch at Bethink — migrating content, building structures, customizing plugins and integrations, and performing troubleshooting and accessibility testing and quality assurance for Bethink’s partners.
Although she grew up learning about computers from her father, who worked at IBM, and customizing her Xanga and Myspace pages, Stacy didn’t think of a career in computer science until after graduating college, when she found Per Scholas while looking for full-time work and earned her A+ IT Certification. During this time, she also discovered coding through Girls Who Code, and decided to enroll in an immersive coding bootcamp with General Assembly, where she first fell in love with JavaScript.
Before coming to Bethink, Stacy worked as a Junior Web Developer for the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, where she maintained their website — and had fun implementing CSS web animations! — and as a Star Award-Winning Senior Web Producer at Zonda by Hanley Wood, maintaining WordPress websites for clients, administrating content in their custom content management system and building online courses for architects and builders to sustain their certifications.
Stacy graduated from Salisbury University with a BA in International Relations. She’s based in Columbia, Maryland, where she is most likely drinking True Honey Blueberry Rooibos in a cute glass mug to protect the flavor. (But she’s also got some Bigelow English Breakfast and Trader Joe’s Organic Green on hand, just in case.)
